Art and decision

On tuesday i had a conversation with my lecturer,we talked about Architecture. He says architecture is a master of all arts so its more hands-off.Well,i know that a lot of people drop off from this field especially when they found out that they cant get to do the design.I dont want to study for like 7 years and end up drafting other people's design or doing other stuff== its so wasted. And a building need at least 3 years to be done? if its so .. 7yrs to get qualified+2yrs project+1 yr arguement+3yrs construction,by the time i see my creation im an old man already LOL. Both my lecturer's are one of them who dropped of, a friend of him is selling insurance and my cousin's friend is an editor now. There`ll be bitterness in your heart whenever you see those buildings around you.. .I should take interior? but what about my ideas on arch?it`ll be wasted.

Having a dream is great, brilliant ideas are great, being gifted is great, but when it comes to reality and money, all these are rubbish.Art is sad, those impressive pieces can only be your personal works.Artist spend days, animators and designers spend months, architect spend years and what people do is just have a glance of it and say byebye. They dont pay for it,unless you die with a interesting story to attract them.Or..you can be the insane one and do something really impressive!like this fella..

Hey, Ernie, embrace your dreams=) !! You should achieve whatever you want when you still can=) I think age is not a big issue though..You see..there are still alot of so-called OLD PEOPLE pursuing their education in Western countries >.< !! Believe in yourself, your ability and not what other's believe! Hope you made the right decision though=)

i agree with yiping-chan.

u should have confidence, believe in urself in what u're interested in n believe in ur deviant artwork.

since you know it's gonna be tough, work for it with no regrets. at the moment u're just at the low level of a long staircase. still have a long long way to go. see...=)
